Important Details for Applicants

PAFP encourages students to apply for scholarships from both AAFP and PAFP. PAFP is limited in the number of scholarships we can support, so applying also to AAFP will maximize your chances of a scholarship. This year, PAFP has doubled student funding, offering $1200 per student for 2026. To ensure equitable access for all PA medical students, PAFP will also match an AAFP scholarship (if you apply for both) to bring your total support up to the $1200 level.

Scholarships will be distributed in person at FUTURE 2026. You must pick up your scholarship check on site; details will be provided to awardees ahead of the conference.

Scholarships provided by the PAFP may be considered taxable income by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), depending on your individual circumstances. We encourage you to consult with a tax advisor or financial professional to understand how this may affect your specific tax situation. PAFP Scholarships are not reimbursements; awardees will not be asked to submit receipts.
