Nurse practitioners renew push for 'full practice authority'
Since 2013, the Pa. Coalition of Nurse Practitioners has sought the elimination of collaborative agreements through state legislation and this week thanked Sen. Camera Bartolotta (R-Washington) for once again introducing Senate Bill 25. The bill garnered 28 co-sponsors in the Senate. State Rep. Jesse Topper (R-Bedford) is currently circulating a co-sponsorship memo in the House. Last session, the bill passed the Senate but stalled in the House. The PAFP, along with all the other major physician associations, oppose the measure. Members are encouraged to contact their state senator and voice their opposition.
