SCOTUS SIDES WITH HOBBY LOBBY IN BIRTH CONTROL CASE (June 30, 2014)
The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled, in a 5-to-4 decision, that closely-held companies aren't required to provide certain types of birth control to employees. CNN reports Hobby Lobby had religious objections with some of the drugs, such as the "morning after pill," which its owners believe is equivalent to abortion. |

DATA DISCREPANCIES MAR 2 MILLION ACA APPLICATIONS (June 5, 2014)
More than 2 million Americans who applied for health coverage on HealthCare.gov - about a quarter of total enrollees - have application discrepancies. According to NPR and the Associated Press, the problems must be resolved: if not, what patients pay could be affected, as well as their very legal right to coverage. |
