LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. Develop strategies to increase patient acceptance of
injectable therapies and explore treatment pathways
physicians can employ to overcome clinical inertia
associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM)
management.
2. Examine the latest clinical trial evidence for available and
emerging GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) with respect
to differences among agents, potential role in combination
therapy, and individualizing T2DM therapy to optimize
patient adherence and outcomes.
3. Compare and contrast available and emerging insulins
and develop strategies for timely initiation, selection,
intensification, and self-management of insulin therapy for
T2DM based on patient specific factors.
