2012 Regional Lecture Series
New Tools to Fix a Broken Screening System - CRC Screening for the Changing Landscape of Primary Care

Lecture Series events are scheduled for 2 hours/2 CME Patient Safety credits
Each session will be interactive with guided round table discussions
Learning Objectives:
- Master understanding of the colorectal screening guidelines, including the need to consistently offer a menu of patient choices
- Understand the importance of and commit to offering a highly sensitive stool blood test, such as a fecal immunochemical test, as one of the new options for colorectal cancer screening
- Be willing to commit to increasing colorectal cancer screening rates in their practices, identifying and reaching all enrolled, eligible patients by employing a registry
- Understand the expanding new opportunities that exist for CRC via open access colonoscopy, finding meaningful use with Cancer prevention and systems change ideas within the primary care office
