Apply today for Pa Primary Care Loan Repayment Program! (December 1, 2021)
The Pa Dept of Health has issued their annual Request for Applications for the Primary Care Loan Repayment Program today, December 1, 2021. Full and half-time two-year contracts will be awarded, up to $80,000 for full-time physicians.
The online application is open now and the deadline to submit is Wednesday, January 12, 2022. Grantees will be selected within 8 weeks of the submission deadline. Qualified applicants must have an employment contract with an approved practice site and eligible loans for repayment, among other eligibility requirements.
The online application takes some time to review and complete – please plan accordingly. Should you have questions about the application, they must be submitted in writing via email to loanrepayment@pa.gov by noon on December 15, 2021. Find more details about submitting questions here. An applicant cannot simultaneously receive Loan Repayment from the NHSC and Pa Dept of Health programs.

Physician opportunities in Pennsylvania may also qualify for NCHC LRP. New enhancements resulting from dramatically increased investments in primary care workforce and infrastructure in the federal health care reform legislation mean many more applicants are eligible for awards.
